Help
Short answers to what people actually ask. A real person when you need one.
Getting started
How long does setup take?
Minutes. A short wizard asks your pay schedule, time-off policy and holidays, then you add people. There is no implementation call and no training video, by design.
How do people get their logins?
You add them and Clockodial emails each person a link to set their own password. Nobody ever types a password for somebody else.
Can people clock in without an email address?
Yes. Set up a tablet as a kiosk and they punch with their name and a four-digit PIN. Their hours, approvals and payroll all work the same.
Day to day
Somebody forgot to clock out. Now what?
Open their day on the Time page and set the time they actually left. The change is recorded with your name on it and the employee is told — that's their right, and it isn't optional.
What does a flagged punch mean?
Something looked unusual — no location shared, a punch away from a work site, a long break. Nothing is ever blocked or silently corrected: it's recorded, flagged, and left to you to judge.
How does time off get approved?
The employee requests days, their manager sees it on the Time off page with the balance and who else is already away, and approves or declines. Both of you get the email.
Payroll
What does finalizing a pay period do?
It locks the period so nobody edits hours behind you after the file has gone, posts time-off accrual, and hands you the export. An admin can reopen it within four hours if something was wrong.
Someone was missed. Do I redo the whole run?
No. Pay one person off-cycle: it pays only their unpaid hours, marks them paid, and they never show up twice.
Do you file my taxes?
No, and we're careful about saying so. Clockodial tracks hours and hands them to your payroll provider. It does not pay wages, withhold tax, or file anything with anyone.
Still stuck?
Email support@clockodial.com. A person reads it — there is no ticket queue to get lost in.
